Hello everyone,



I wanted to introduce myself real quick before leaving for the beach for an extended Friday night jigging session <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />



Due to my prior in-land life I never had the opportunity to jig during the fishing season. This summer I moved to Trieste (Italy) and since September I am jigging cuttlefish since the squids did not arrive in sufficient numbers as of yet. Although I managed to catch two nice squids:

and one huge cuttlefish (considering the season just kicked off).

Hi and welcome! I have yet to catch a cuttlefish on squid jiig <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

the cuttle in my gallery, estimated at 5 kg, was caught on a snapper bait !

word on the radio from other boats was that one was caught that weighed 9 kg,

and another one that bent the landing net used to bring it onboard !!!!!

just had a look at your cuttle chippy...it's a thumper....yum yum...cuttle is better eating than squid anyday....oh and bloody good bait too.
