I wonder if my board could have other uses. I designed it for spearfishing but was told it could be good for floundering.

Hi there,
I have never seen one of those before. It might not be very good for floundering as there does not seem to be any good place to put the big battery! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':oops' /> Cheers, Glen

This float board has over 100lbs of buoyancy. The well is 18 x 23 inches and 4 deep. There is an alternative cover to the well made from fabric with a zipper. It can be worn like a backpack.

You can either use a small car battery or find a smaller 12 volt battery . I have a 12 v battery that was originally designed for a jet ski. It is about a third of the size of a small car battery.
If you are floundering there is a lot of water splashing about and i think you would want to make sure the battery stays dry otherwise who knows you might end up getting electrocuted! i am no electricity expert so maybe others can provide better advice here. so long as you can keep the batery upright and dry then you should be ok. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
