I grew in bremerton and the places we used to go were the bremerton ferry dock, ilahee, brownsville.
I went squidding for the first time(couple weeks before thanksgiving) in 5 years over at the brownsville dock and it kicked ass...we caught our limit in about 2.5 hours. The only thing is the squid were smaller than i remember, our biggest was maybe 5 inches and there were only a few of that size. We had 1 jigg each and we each caught 2 squids at once on one jig a few times!!! The problem with the brownsville pier is that there's a lock(with code for boat owners) to get into the dock, i think it locks at around 8pm. We went around 11pm and got lucky because somebody was leaving as we were coming so we slipped thourgh the gate. We also didn't have a light and used one of the lights on the dock.
I'm getting back into squidding and have bought some jiggs at a local asian market, where else are people getting thier jigs? I also saw the post about making them, that's definately something i'm going to try sounds fun.
