If you think cheating is a factor then I would say don't join. We all have a trust on here so if you confident your that good you should outfish 2 people![/quote]
Soccerlife945,
You have misinterpreted my post. I do agree that a small competition among forum members would go off with little trouble. (and be super fun <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> ) However, I was focusing on a larger tournament. Currently there are many significant Striper, Blue, and other fish contest. Never have I seen a squid catching contest in this area.
Again "Forgive me if I am taking this too seriously", I was merely thinking on a larger scale. I believe with all the die-hard squid enthusiast in the region, such a tournament could be a great success. Maybe we could call it the "Newport Squid Derby". With good sponsorship and organization this idea has potential. I use to organize and run special events at my last job. I will say, I really miss it. That may be why this sounds super cool. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

egi zed,
I like your approach to a competition. Sounds like fun. I like the idea of a size contest versus a quantity one. What kind of prizes do you award? What area are you from?
