Thanks! Palm beach is a surf beach so its must be the long "muddy" beach at the south side of Palm beach and Barrenjoey head. I went there about this time last year and had a swim, it was very muddy and weedy in the bottom, and i also saw some small flathead and other fishes as well. When i was about to leave in the later afternoon many beach fishoes turned up, and they told me its a prime sport for bream and whiting.
