I heard people adding cod oil on jigs to attract squid. Has everybody tried?
I have tried dipping my jig into "stimulate" fish oil (not sure if its the same as cod oil). I fished side by side with my gf ans she didnt use any oil, and we caught about the same amount of squids. So i dont think the oil help much, but i believe it certainly wont hurt <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . My oily jig did attracted more little picker fish through. There are some specially formulated squidding spray available such as EGI-MAX and EGI-GLOW. I've never used them myself but i've heard they work a treat. But they are surely more expensive then cod oil. Hope this help. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
Cheers,
Richard
