I'm from Seattle area and very new to squid fishing. What type of jig do you recommend and do you have a store so that I can go and pick up some jigs right away instead of waiting for shipment? Thanks[/quote]
HI,
This is a good time to start squid fishing, as it's just starting to pick up. Just last Wednesday, I heard pier 56 in downtown Seattle was HOT!! They were hitting well from about 7:30-11pm. The squid are small right now, so you want to make sure to use small jigs. I'm pretty low on stock on my small jigs right now. There are a couple of shops that I could suggest.
Linc's Tackle - They regularly stock my jigs, and has a good selection of small jigs.
Outdoor Emporium - on 4th Ave, just south of downtown. I just brought a LARGE order to them last week, so they have a very good assortment.
