The Japan Sea is warming up now. I was up there 2 weeks ago and the squid were still a bit small but I hear people are catching "croquette" size now. I'm going back next weekend for a competition near Fukui City.
I also went to Toyohama, Chita on Friday night, just after the typhoon. Water was pretty dirty and I didn't even get a bite. I had worked double my hours last week and was feeling pretty shagged so piked before midnight. Mate slept in his van and got 6 in the morning <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> But biggest were 15cm
