At least the weather will be cooler in Nagano than down here.
I've only been to Wakayama once but I know its a hot spot for squid. I don't know if that applies all year round. I do know that they are catching Dolphin fish off the rocks now, if thats a hint <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
Well, while i was there i saw some small squid swimming around. The place i was and who i was with didn't allow a lot of time for lures or egi's(stayed at a ryokan with the wifes family). I did some spear fishing and spent about 30 minutes chasing a Kurotai of about 40-50cm?(please correct me here if i'm wrong egized) i don't know the exact english name, but it translates as a black snapper. But, there were too many rocks and i ran out of time. Going to another place tomorrow on the sea of japan side and then to an Island off Nagoya on sunday, will see if there is anything to report.
