[quote name='Nautilusly' post='9239' date='Aug 3 2007, 12:08 PM']Cheers for the report! I've never had any luck in la perouse when the tide is strong, so i think you did well with 3 squids. How big are they? probably decent size too since you landed them on size 3.5 jigs! well done! By the way, did you spot the squids when you are fishing on the bridge?
Cheers,

the squid were not over the kilo mark but close enough the bigger of the three was about 800gr, still a top size for strip baits when chasing the jewies!!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
the squid were not visible from the bridge, just work your jig from about 10-15mtrs straight out and bring it through the sandy patch which seperates the thick kelp beds.
good luck and happy squidding!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
