i live in japan and we eat raw sqid all the time. if it is fresh it is generally not chewy, but sometimes big pieces can be a bit much. when i first started eating it i only ate it if it was cut into small strips, then you can pick up a few strips at a time and it is not so hard to eat. i eat the dried squid straight out of the packet, though sometimes i cook it if i am at a bbq, its great with mayo and chilli. Over here i always see people eating fish, octopus and other things straight out of the ocean, they dont always freeze it, but i have no idea about worms and stuff? next time try raw horse or deer, that will get u going!
