aaa simon,
I was one of the boats out deeper as was John. there were some good sized ones being caught but alas i didnt do too well, my father-in-law only got one which was caught on the very tip of it tenticle,.. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
i was using silverwhitting and it kept getting demolished but no hook up. i tried rigging with the head towards the barbs and the head away from the barbs with the same result, just a head and tail were left on the jig <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
my father-in-law got seasick pretty quick in the lumpy conditions so we headed back to the ramp where i tied off to the jetty on the right before the bride and moored boats and caught some good trevally 4@35~37cm, 2 leatherjackets and a couple of mullet.
my boat hasnt got a name yet, its a carribean concorde 1990 model with a predominantly white hull with a blue thick stripe running down the side, blue bimni cover, and an old white Johnson 140HP on the back.
i kept a lookout for you but no luck.
AK
