Underwater lighting for recreational squid fishing
#4
gday glen,

i have got one of those sealed light bulbs with aligator clip that you have show. Mine came from greece where incidently my dad was told it was illegal to use them., he was told that because it is so bright it stuns the fish and they can die <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> don't hold me to that one...

Anyway i have used it here for floundering off the boat and found that a 12V car battery doesn't last too long with one of these current hungry lights clipped to it! I have since gone to a gas light hanging out the front of the boat. Not onlyis the gas light brigther and i can adjust the brightness to suit it also keeps me warm during the chilly calm nights! Big Grin
