Hello From Hawaii
#3
Quote:Hello all, I'm new to this site and it seems that the styles for catching squid differs quite a bit between the mainland U.S and Hawaii. I myself prefer ss shanks with double umbrella hooks with cleaned squid turned inside out, cut into a strip that will wrap around the shank once, tied on with dental floss (if pickey) or with really fine copper wire (if aggressive). It is really neat to hear of other rigs and techniques being used.

Hi Ikahead and welcome aboard! I have quoted your post above from another topic. It would be great to see some photos of your squid rigs. I have never tried squid bait to catch squid but it sounds like it works very well.
