electrical current from metal in squid jig
#2
How interesting! I had never given that any thought, but what you say explains something else which I have been thinking about.....the keels on my most potent squid catching jigs appear not to be made of lead, but some other metal. This might explain why they're so good compared to the rest of the jigs I use (all of which have lead keels). Do you know if other metals cause an electrical current the same as lead does? I have some older jigs that I might play around with different weighting materials.

Thanks a lot for your reply holdfast. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ink' />
