Sounds like fishing is still going well!!!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
From my experience, the squid that often in larger schools near the surface don't bite that well, and have a mind of their own. It seems the squid that are a bit deeper, from about 10ft to the bottom are the ones that bite better.
I have heard from other customers that squid are available all summer, just not along the shoreline. They tend to find them out when they are fishing for fluke near the bottom with bait. The squid keep eating the bait, but they are hard to hook that way. I would recommend in those situations to try using a baited squid jig (we have those available).
