I would agree with you Jazz, but after my trip to mornington yesterday, my views changed completely.
All squid i caught was with a luminous belly jig, including some agressive big squid which just took my jig and tried to run away with it. After i lost my only two luminous ones (see mornington report <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />) I didn't catch any more squid with the reflective belly.
It was a shame. My best jigs which i cannot replace (as they are from overseas) gone. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
