Hello All,
I live just a few miles from Luhrs Beach, and have never gotten any squid there. One reason, its closed at night <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/zorro.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> , and another reason is that it is in a tideflat, that becomes completely dry at lowtide, except for McAllister Creek that flows across the front of the dock. This makes it a less than ideal place for the squid to spawn.
There are a few private marinas in the Olympia area, that get squid. You have to have a boat moored there, though, to get access.
I usually just go to the pier in Steilacoom, or farther north.
Happy catching,
Chris <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
