I've seen several squid in Puget Sound <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/us.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> , that had a green lighting :online2long: , just like the one in your pic. I've also seen some octopus with little light circles. Although this doesn't explain it, I would say the squid in your pic is real.
