It is BAD business to move other people's traps. I know people who put lobster pots under piers and docks, lobsters hang out in such places, they are not putting the traps there to catch jigs, it is the lobsters they are after. You can be prosecuted for moving another person's traps and it gives the rest of us squidders a bad name. If you are losing jigs to traps just don't drop so deep or move, but do not move other peoples gear.
