Squid migration and water temperatures

I posted these two sat images on another forum but it might be useful this community.  One is from 4/21/2018 and the other from 4/18/2017.  I'll leave it you others to discuss what is the temperature squid will migrate but I've read repeatedly that squid follow the warm currents into the coast from offshore.  Three early areas are the focus on these, Greenport NY, Newport RI and Nantucket Sound around Hyannis.  If you compare, it is pretty apparent that water is cold all the way down to Long Beach NY and compared to last year, not warming very rapidly.  The site where you can get regional ocean water temp data is https://marine.rutgers.edu/cool/sat_data/?nothumbs=0
