Newport Ri 2015 Squid Season

Fluke opened in RI on 5/1, but the Frances fleet isn't even planning their first trip for either fluke or squid until 5/8, and they may push that back.

 

This was one of the worst winters for local cod anyone can remember.  So you would think if there were even a remote chance they could fill a boat and catch something theywould do it.  Their boats dont make money at the dock and this was a beutiful weekend.
