Hi,
Started off trying at St Leonards but after we almost got blown off the pier by the gale force southerlies we acked up and went to sheltered Portalington pier. Not a singe fish or squid was sighted all day despite the nice burley trail i had going. I did end up with a nice octopus so the day wasn't a TOTAL waste <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I caught a glimpse of the occie swiming between the breakwater and pier and threw a baited jig at it, i actually hit it a few times as it continued to swim showing NO intereste in taking the bait <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
after jumping from rock to rock i caught up with it as it settled on a rock. I presented the baited jig, it wrapped one tentacle around it and i struck <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> and hooked him <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
