I would suggest a trip on Frances Fleet. You should be able to manage a lot more than 3. From shore, you wait and hope they come by. On a boat, you go where they are. I would also add some aeration to your cooler. More than a couple and you will deplete your oxygen and fill the cooler with ink. Ideally, you would bring a pump and continuously add new seawater.

Thanks for the friendly help.  I have not looked into Frances Fleet yet.  I'd prefer not spend $45 per night if I don't have to but it could be a good option if I get more desperate!  Yes, we have a more elaborate setup than just the cooler but I figured the cooler would be enough to ID us on the bridge.
