I run 1200 watt light off a car battery every season with a converter. It works great last about 9 hours easy. Just buy your self a nice charger to charge the battery when you get home. Also put the converter in a plastic box of some kind to help prevent it from getting wet. I use a rubber maid container have been thru a lot of converters .
