Worked my way from Mashpee to Orleans yesterday. After catching a handfull of schoolies in Orleans I headed up to Chatham for the squid bite.Caught about 30 good sized squid from 8-10.The place was real crowded when I left, probably 40+ people.Tons of squid, they just weren't that hungry I guess.Tried wychmere after and not a single bite.Anybody have any advice for fishing for squid from a boat?I have a 21cc and launch out of the popponessett area,I've always stuck to the docks but am sick of the crowds... Any good spots in the sound?

2 yo zuri lures rigged high low and 4-8 oz has worked for me for years in our area.
when the bite heats up from around lone rock off cotuit to osterville 1 to colliers ledge you will no doubt know it -- you will see the squid fleet -- it will be out there and would be very hard to miss.
if you're out there on your own, drop it over within 500 yards of lone rock any direction, see what happens.
