Newbie in WA

From what I've read, the squid up here (Pacific North Wet) prefer to stay in really deep water during the day, and that suggests better fishing from a boat, if you can figure out where to go. A pier just gives you a location where some of them are going to be at night with less ability to go looking if that location does not work out.



Squid have been known to follow the lures and caught squid to the surface, so several boats working together can bring the whole school to the surface where they are easier to catch.
