The spot is important... if the squid isn't there then they ain't coming. I outfish the Frances fleet so that says a lot. Out in Green Hill just about every other boat have hydro light so that says a lot. IMO I think a light attached to a charged battery > smokey generator. If the jigs aren't working then I resort to the cast net.
