[size="2"]Squid around Newport are still to be had. Caught around half a bucket Sat night. 95% were females. And most were carrying eggs. Eating squid with the roe intact is delicious. Catching around this time proves to be a challenge. Floating the jig seems to work best. If the school is large enough snagging is also effective. As mentioned above about the species.
