I saw that the preferred way to cook squid is "deep fry" as calamari. While that is good, another way is to stuff them with pre-cooked spanish rice with either the tentacles chopped up or sausage or crab or whatever strikes your culinary fancy mixed in, cover them with salsa or "fishy" sauce and bake them for a short time. Yes, they do look a bit weird that way, but they are delicious!
The number one thing to remember is that over cooking them tends to render a texture reminiscent of Florsheims.
