Time to go fishing!
There were decent bites to be had all over southern RI last night, mostly large squid. Nothing lock and load, but still a good pick for those who knew what they were doing. Jamestown and LC seemed to be the hot spots. I couldnt get out today with the wind, but the bite up in Hyannis is still pretty slow to develop.
Good luck to all who brave the wind tonight.
I was scheduled to go out on a private charter with 24 other guys on the Helen H"s smaller boat called the "Angler" yesterday.
On Thursday the Helen H office called us to cancel the trip. They had a six pack squid charter the day before and caught nothing because blues and bass were in scattering all the squid. No schools were to be found. It was good of them to return our money and not take us all for a boat ride, especially when several were coming from NY for this trip. I think captain Dom is correct in his assessment. Snaildarter
