[size="3"][color="black"]CHECK IN[/color][color="black"]: 6.30am-7.30am START BY: 8am[/color][/size]

[size="3"][color="black"]BOUNDARIES: [/color][/size]

[color="black"]To make this tournament as versatile as possible the WA Calamari Classic will be made up of 3 sections; Boat, Kayak and Shore based.[/color]

[color="black"]Boat (Max field of 50 boats) -[/color][color="black"] Inside Cockburn Sound only; an imaginary line from the tip of North Mole to the southern most point of Rottnest Island. Boats are not permitted to venture under and beyond the Garden Island Causeway.[/color]

[color="black"]Yaks-[/color][color="black"] Same Boundaries apply as for boats. Yaks may also be launched from outside the Cockburn Power Boat complex after signing in.[/color]

[color="black"]Shore Based- [/color][color="black"]Shore Based anglers can only fish as individuals and may fish from any legal rock platform, jetty or beach between North Mole and the Garden Is Causeway. Shore based anglers are not permitted to fish anywhere on Garden Island.[/color]



[size="3"][color="black"]RULES:[/color][/size]
  • [color="black"]This is a lure only tournament. Anglers may only use artificial squid jigs to capture squid, however squid may be switch baited from dead or live baits.[/color]
  • [color="black"]Cuttle fish and Octopus are excluded from weigh-in. This is a Squid Only tournament.[/color]
  • [color="black"]All squid must be caught on the competition day and weighed in a fresh and consumable condition to qualify for prizes.[/color]
[color="black"][size="3"]SAFETY:[/size][/color]
  • [color="black"]Motors must be fitted with a lanyard attached to a kill switch. The lanyard must be connected to the driver anytime the engine is operating.[/color]
  • [color="black"]Organisers accept no responsibility or liability for any accident, loss or injury. All skippers must be in possession of a RST and Rec Boat Fishing License. [/color]
  • [color="black"]Each skipper must have the required safety equipment as per Dept. Of Transport requirements.[/color]
  • [color="black"]Organisers reserve the right to disallow unsafe boats from competing[/color]



[size="3"][color="black"]WEIGH IN LIMIT: [/color][/size]

[color="black"]Boat-[/color][color="black"] Boats may fish a team of as many anglers as legally permitted for the size of the boat. The 10 heaviest squid only may be weighed in. Prizes awarded for 10 heaviest squid from boat will be awarded per team, not per individual angler on board. [/color]

[color="black"]Yaks-[/color][color="black"] The 5 heaviest squid only may be weighed in by a single angler or double team from Yaks.[/color]

[color="black"]Shore Based-[/color][color="black"] The 5 heaviest squid only may be weighed in by a single angler from shore[/color]

[color="black"]Boat-[/color][color="black"] Heaviest bag of 10 squid from boat[/color]

[color="black"]R/U heaviest bag of 10 squid from boat[/color]

[color="black"]Heaviest single squid from boat[/color]

Yaks- [color="black"]Heaviest bag of 5 squid from a yak[/color]

[color="black"]R/U heaviest bag of 5 squid from a yak[/color]

[color="black"]Heaviest single squid from yak[/color]

[color="black"]Shore- [/color][color="black"]Heaviest bag of 5 squid from shore by a single angler[/color]

[color="black"]R/U heaviest bag of 5 squid from shore by a single angler[/color]

[color="black"]Heaviest single squid from shore[/color]

[color="black"]Fun Prize-[/color][color="black"] The dirtiest ink shot angler[/color]

Random Prizes – There will be plenty of random prizes given away on the day
