Right Hand Left Hand Winding

I'm a lefty but grew up with alvey reels and the such and was always told they were right handed reels because you wind with your right hand....got me stuffed???....now the say it's the hand you hold your rod with???....I give up???? hahahahahaha
personaly I think it's what ever you feel works for you better. mug...Paul
