A good mate of mine had a gladiator rod, it snapped under very minor load. When it snapped we inspected it and noticed that the guides were binded really tight on the blank and actually crushed the blank where the shoes were binded. Turns out that this has happened a couple of times with the egi rods by gladiator. Not having a dig at gladiator by all means as Honsu was there to verify!
