just beware.
having a power supply floating and "floating" in an electrical sense can be a serious shock hazard.
You don't want to be cooked with your calamari.
I think it is prudent to run a ground wire from the chassis of the generator to the engine block or something grounded in the water.
If the calamari start floating up on there own, turn the thing off.
