Well it's been over 2 months since my last fish and decided to go to a nice easy spot as I slept through my alarm clock and missed first light. Well it was a little slow with only three squid in the 1hr 15 mins I fished this morning. I was just about to give it away when zzzzzzzzzing, the little Daiwa Egi reel lets off a scream with 30 metres of line with it. After a couple more torrid runs and about 6 minutes later I finally get this monster in, thanks to another squid fisherman 20 metres away who picked it up off the rock for me after I washed it in - he must have heard the reel drag zinging and saw my rod buckled over and came over to lend a hand!
