At night (on the rare occasion I get squid) I can actually sight fish, watching for the schools to move in and then presenting the jigs right in front of them. When that happens we get doubles a lot and can fill the cooler in no time. When you fish for them during the day do you see them come in or is it blind jigging? Also, what tide is best?
I do better on a moving tide (incomming tide seems to be best). When I can see them during the day I do better because I can watch them take the jig. But when they are running heavy it doesn't matter whether I see them or not day or night. They just latch on and don't let go!!
