Squidding Techniques-reaction Bites
Hi guys I usually fish off a jetty that is pretty well lit and I prefer casting my jig out and using quite a fast retieve. I like using this technique as its the squids instinct to attack and they dont think twice about it. There are also quite a few squid around the lit areas in the water but they usually spend to much time observing your jig and there are also usually lots of people throwing there jigs in the lit areas and I find that this just scares them away but I do fish around lit areas if there are squid in sight and there are not much people there.

What methods do you guys use when fishing off a jetty?

And what colour jigs do you use at night as I use orange and I find it quite effective.
you should try using better quality jigs! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> that catch far more squid than cheapies. better action and sink rate!
