up here in brisbane we fish day or night but if your fishing an area with no lights you fish with plenty of moon and the squid are there only a couple of feet from the rocks.
on nights with no moon we just walk around the harbour working the street lights and it pays off.
but in the daytime it can be on for young and old and be able to see many squid but it's a real art to catching them in daylight as they are as cunning as shythouse rats so knowing your stuff pays off...hell yeah.
day or night I'm not fussy.
