My Diawa rod rated 2.5-3.5 snapped the other day while using a 4.0 <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />



I guess that means that the rating is more than just a guide.



I replaced it with a heavier rated rod and the jigging feel is much better. I get good wuality darting without the shock to my arms. Will have to wait till next autumn to find out how it goes with smaller jigs though. We are heading into monster season over here <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
