Hi all, never caught a squid before... amazed to find this forum, and have read much.



Very much hoping to make my first catch soon. Went down to Fremantle on saturday and had a go off the platform near the E-shed markets, right up the ocean end, but the water was completely dead. At least I wasn't alone, both the north and south moles were completely quiet that night for everything.



Could anyone give me a few pointers?

What sort of seasonality is there for squid in Perth?



I work in Bentley, and I don't mind dropping by freo or cottlesloe or something after work, or if there are good spots in the river..
