[quote name='fairwoodfisher' post='17372' date='Jan 19 2010, 05:26 AM']Hey Jon,
Got my son into fishing at Dash Point this year for the humpies. And he has been wanting to do some squidding.
How does dash pier compare to Redondo and Des Moines?
He's over with some of his bud's partying for the weekend at WSU. He'll be home tonight and I'll pass on this website and info.
Any help/info would be much appreciated.

I think Dash Point pier is comparable.... I know of one customer that likes to fish there first thing in the morning. I'm not sure when they open that pier in the mornings, but as early as possible. I don't think the Dash Point pier is available for fishing at night, as I've heard they close the gate to the pier.
Des Moines has been fairly good, mostly around high and incoming tide from what I have heard. You don't have to have any lights at Des Moines, the lights on the pier are adequate. For Redondo, it's been fair, but need to bring a light to attract the squid, or be lucky enough to fish close enough to someone that does.
