varivas actually have 2 types of egi pe one normal and the other suspends. from my understanding braid floats when dry then as it absorbs water its starts to sink down. the one im using is the suspend model, and as the name states its does suspend a bit in the top water column. apart from being very supple and sensitive there isnt much difference at all. i can also reccomend using varivas pe conditioner on any braid it makes casting sooo much easier.
oh and as for knots slim beauty is good, and also the gt (or pr) knot - uni to uni or improved albright if your in a rush as they are piss easy to do on the go.
