my bait of choice is always yellowtail maybe because they are easy to catch with a bit of bread burley and a sabiki jig. you can also buy them from the shops, try to get your hands on the smallest ones. The jags too, they come into a few different sizes (lengths) depending on the size of bait you use. other bait fish you can also use are spotted whiting, garfish, mullet and hering. Hope this helps.
