I was pretty sure that some people use a jig under a float instead of a baited jig at times. I have only ever noticed the long polers or hand line lads using baited jigs w floats . I figured why not cast out a float w a jig and still flick around with my other jig. 2 snares and hopfully more squid.
I am thinking of trying Flinders pier on Friday, never been there before so will give it s shot then.
