hi glen
i havent been to any tackle shops in hk (last time i was there i wasnt as intrested in fishing/eging) but i do know there are a few there. prolly the most known one is Triton. They have several stores. Prices are reasonable even with the crappy exchange rates. A couple of my friends who are there now have reported that they cant find many high end gear due to the economic situation across the world. Although if you have the time they can order it in for you at reasonable prices. ive attached some pics from one of my friend's tackle shopping all that cost under $100au (that was taken about 2 weeks ago) and the other pic was a few days after also well under the $100 au mark.
link for triton below - has all the addresses listed. I think the wan chai store is the largest my friend keeps telling me that its like wall to floor tackle and that its very hard go in and get only what you need hahhahaha. Triton will deff have eging gear as thats where all my raycal/egee came from. Just like most other asian countries haggle with them as you should be able to knock down the prices. eg. my sister bought my daiwa egee 2506 for me it was listed at about 900hk but she was able to talk it down to about 700hk.
hope that helps
