probably overfishing by commercial fishermen and natural predation... i can't imagine recreational fishermen having a great deal of impact on the species... i read somewhere that stiper fishing are better these past few years than previous years... coincidence?
and by the way i've been hearing that regular weather cycles have shifted 2 weeks from their usual calendar cycles... global warming?? who knows...
