To all you fisherman/ squidders out there. I learned this from an old fisherman when I lived in Vic!
QUESTION -- How many times have you been fishing with bait for fish, and a squid grabs the hook bait and not your squid jig?
ANSWER -- have around you ready a squid jig tied onto a leader about 1 m long with a snap swivel attached to the other end. When a squid does this simply attach the snap swivel to your fishing line and throw it out, the jig will then slid down to your fishing bait in the current and go behind the squid. 9/10 times the squid will let go of the bait (In fright) and attach to the jig!
I hope this helps!
Great idea! I often have squids grabbing my soft plastics when i am fishing for bream or flatties. i always carry jigs around but by the time i put the jigs on its usually too late <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
