Hey pat,
I've never made up a floundering light from a headlight, I was just thinking aloud, but I don't reckon it would be too hard, you would just need to make the part where the pole joins the headlight strong AND waterproof to protect the wiring (silicon would be good for waterproofing, but strength would be the problem). Epoxy resin perhaps (but I think the point of making a light from a cheap headlight is to keep things cheap, once you start buying epoxy, silicon etc it gets a bit pricey)
If I make one up I'm gonna try and fit it with a high beam switch (to let other flounderers know that I'm coming!) <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />
