[quote name='AlienLion' post='13445' date='Jan 8 2009, 03:11 PM']Hi Davidphan, nice catch you have there. i tried egging at labrador jetty, not bad caught 1 small squid within 1 hour, but as mentioned close at 8pm, have yet to try the other sites at labrador, where will you recommend, as I usually only free at night, only been going to punggol. btw am new to egging when is the best tide to catch squid? i been going at incoming tide with moderate success but always very small squids or cuttlefish.

Hi AlienLion
The best will be the incoming tide during the early evening. Punggol Jetty is a very good spot for squid but the only problem is too many people. What size of jig you used? {recommended to be at least 2.0 to 2.5} Do let the jig sink down to the bottom and retrieve slowly with some jigging, then you will have a better chance to get a bigger squid. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
